Franca Helg and Franco Albini DOMO Sika Design Danish furniture design

Franca Helg + Franco Albini were renowned Italian designers and architects. Franca Helg (1920-1989) had talent spanning industrial and furniture design. Works include the La Rinascente store in Rome and the Museum of the Hermits in Padova.

Franco Albini (1905-1977) was known for his ability to merge modern minimalistic furniture design with traditional Italian craftsmanship. He obtained three Compasso D’Oro awards.

Helg and Albini became business partners and often collaborated together from 1951. Together they designed many creations with the new forms of modernism.
