Patrick Zalauf Designer of Lighting DOMO Ligne Roset

Swiss designer Patrick Zulauf (born 1974) spent his childhood in his father’s aircraft workshop and creating objects from a nearby junk yard. He trained on the job as a design engineer and metal caster. In 2000 Patrick studied interior architecture and product design at the school of art in Basel.

Patrick continued his creative work as a draughtsman producing furniture, lighting, phones and more for Hans Zaugg, then Christophe Marchand and Patrick Reymond. He has collaborated with brands from Europe. His key interest lies in lighting and in particular developing innovative lighting systems.

In 2013, Patrick Zulauf opened his own interdisciplinary studio in Basel, working on one-off pieces and series-produced items as a designer and product engineer.
