Gifted German design talent, Sebastian Herkner, finds design inspiration in travel, people, places and ordinary objects. His work spans prolific designs through to commercially successful, practical, and considered works of art.
Born in 1981, Herkner studied Product Design at HfG Offenbach University of Art and Design. He has since designed furniture, lamps and décor for renowned global brands. Additionally, Herkner has realised interior architecture projects, along with museum and exhibition design, and won numerous accolades. These include Maison & Objet’s 2019 Designer of the Year and as a Red Dot Winner in 2023.
For Herkner, the design process is as important as end product itself. With an unconditional love for craftsmanship, his gift for utilising colour and authentic materials results in extraordinarily, beautiful furniture and design pieces.
