Viggo Boesen designer DOMO Sika Design rattan chair

Trained as an architect, Viggo Boesen was an influencer of the Scandinavian ‘Funkis-style’ villas and homes of the 1930’s. However with a special interest in design, Boesen designed a number of pieces of modernist profiled wicker furniture, which were based on the strength and durability of rattan.

His pieces have an organic flow and embrace the body smoothly and tenderly. Boesen’s unique and inspiring designs firmly place him among the designers of the ‘Danish golden age’.
