DOMO Stores REMAIN OPEN NATIONALLY - 10AM UNTIL 4PM MONDAY - SATURDAY
Events

On the second leg of the DOMO annual Europe trip, the team travelled from Cologne to the much cooler Paris.

Staying in the picturesque Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighbourhood, we walked everyday through the Luxembourg Gardens to catch the Metro, which set us up for a great day at the Maison & Object Fair.

Scroll on to read the highlights of the Maison & Objet Fair and previews into our brands collections.

Ligne Roset

Presented in a different colourway to that shown at IMM Cologne, Bernard Govin’s Asmara sofa was a key feature at the Ligne Roset stand. Asmara, along with many of the other products seen at IMM, looked totally different and no doubt appealed to a different audience due to the colours of fabrics chosen.

Seeing the new products represented from one country to another really demonstrates the diversity of the brand for customisation and shows why Ligne Roset is the powerhouse that it is, in celebrating 160 years.

Objet Insolite

A perennial French favourite of DOMO, Objet Insolite specialises in floor lamps, table lamps and sconces. Displayed hardware in bronze, nickel and gold, the collection shown will no doubt appeal to the interior designer and architect when it comes to choosing knobs, handles and finials.

Kun Design

Previously only shown at Shanghai Fair, Kun Design made its debut at Maison & Objet Fair 2020.

New lamps, which were both LED and solar powered, as well as next summer’s colours – in the likes of soft green and peachy pink was a highlight and something to look forward to.

Trends

Fur on cushions and soft accessories was plentiful both at Maison & Objet and IMM Cologne. The AP Collection founded in Brussels featuring the Koala Bear Chair, shown below, was one of the most photographed products at the fair, as every person we spoke to know of the Australian bushfire devastation.

There was a wide range of ceramics and the stand from AS’ART featured hand crafted products from African countries – Kenya, Zimbabwe and Malawi – that work directly with the artisans’ products, while respecting the principles of sustainable development.

We look forward to showcasing products from these new collections in our DOMO showrooms across New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria.
