The exceptional craftsmanship of Duvivier is derived from the saddlery business established by Jean-Baptiste Duvivier in 1840 in Joussé in western France. His skill and knowledge was passed from generation to generation, and in 1978, Jean-Marie Duvivier drew from the family’s saddlery heritage to open a workshop for manufacturing leather sofas. Duvivier has since become a world leader in furniture production, earning the recognition of the French Government as a “Company of Living Heritage,” for its excellence and preservation of traditional French manufacturing know-how.
Defined by sophistication and refinement, Duvivier’s collection features luxury leather sofas, armchairs, tables and storage solutions that play with contemporary forms.
Duvivier has an unwavering passion for materials and uses full-grain leathers that have a soft and supple finish, age gracefully, and look better with time and wear. Using full-grain leathers with little or no pigmentation, the durability of Duvivier furniture is enhanced, while showcasing the character, beauty and uniqueness of each hide.
The Centquatre sofa and armchair is one of Duvivier’s most popular collections. Smart yet casual, it has a strong and minimalist structure with generous cushions, slim armrests and double-stitched leather.
The Faubourg sofa and armchair, demonstrates Duvivier’s meticulous approach to hand finishing and hand stitching, contributing to its luxury and longevity.
Duvivier is a strong believer in slow design, producing furniture based on values that transcend trends, and the Maria Bridge Chair showcases this commitment effortlessly.
Beyond leather seating, Duvivier produces a range of tables and bookcases to complement a variety of interior styles. The Pont Neuf side and coffee tables in timber and glass have strong lines and a sense of transparency.
The Rio side and coffee tables have a bronze finish and Art Deco spirit.
The Karusa collection, which includes occasional tables, bookcases, shelves and a console, has a slim black steel frame for lightness and simplicity of form.
