The Riverside chair from leading Italian brand Tonon has always been a winner in our eyes. Now this strikingly original design has been recognised with a prestigious iF Design Award and is one of the newest additions to the DOMO collection.
Tonon was formed in the 1920s and is highly regarded for having a ‘craftsman’s heart and industrial mind’. Its beautiful seating and table designs are the result of successful collaborations with respected international designers and each piece is perfectly suited to all styles of living.
The Riverside chair is designed by Mac Stopa, founder of award-winning architectural design practice, Massive Design. Luxuriously soft and comfortable, it is crafted from a molded polyurethane that is non-toxic, fire resistant and waterproof, which makes it ideal for indoor or outdoor use.
The iF Awards are presented by Germany’s oldest independent design organisation, Hannover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH. A 58-member jury of independent international design authorities viewed more than 5,500 entries from 59 countries for the latest round of iF Awards. Tonon’s Riverside chair was a stand-out design and won in the discipline product category.
In addition to the Riverside chair, we’re also pleased to welcome Tonon’s River Stone stool to the DOMO collection. Made from molded soft, flexible polyurethane, the stool has a distinctive stone-like appearance and its lightweight design means it’s easy to move from room to room and is suitable for outdoor use.
It’s another winning design from Tonon and is available at selected DOMO showrooms.
