The Red Dot Award winning Bufa Modular Sofa Configuration 1 is an arc-shaped sectional sofa that takes its name and inspiration from balloons. The designers, Yonoh for HC28 Cosmo, had a vision to design a large soft body where one may fully relax and unwind at home.
Bufa means ‘balloon’ in Yonoh designer’s Clara del Portillo and Alex Selma’s mother tongue. And the result? The Bufa is a billowing organic design with large volumes, but at the same time feeling light due to the round and fluid shapes.
The HC28 Cosmo Bufa Sofa won the prestigious Red Dot Design Award in 2022. The judges remarked that, “thanks to its voluminous design vocabulary, Bufa can be skilfully showcased in the home environment, contributing to a cosy atmosphere”. The sectional lounge is a IF Design Award winner as well.
This arc-shaped Bufa Sofa configuration promotes flow within your living space. The Bufa Modular Sofa Configuration 1 is made up of two single-armed modules of different lengths, and a curved centre module to create a complete curved 4-seat sofa.
Sofa feet: black metal with satin finish. Dimensions: W 3,745mm x L 2,100mm. The seat height of the Bufa sofa is 41cm.
