The Bufa Ottoman by HC28 Cosmo takes its name and inspiration from balloons. The designers, Yonoh Studio, had a vision to design a large soft body where one may fully relax and unwind at home.

Bufa means ‘balloon’ in Yonoh designer’s Clara del Portillo and Alex Selma’s mother tongue. And the result? The HC28 Cosmo Bufa Ottoman is a billowing organic design with large volumes, but at the same time feeling light due to the round and fluid shapes.

The Bufa Sofa series won the prestigious Red Dot Design Award in 2022. The judges remarked that, “thanks to its voluminous design vocabulary, Bufa can be skilfully showcased in the home environment, contributing to a cosy atmosphere”. The design series is a IF Design Award winner as well.

The Bufa Ottoman features black metal feet with satin finish. The smooth curved corners of the upholstered footstool feature straight edges to ensure a snug fit alongside Bufa Sofa modules.

The Bufa footstool may be free-standing or interconnected with the Bufa Sofa system in a range of comfortable, contemporary configurations. The seat height of the Bufa footstool is 41cm.
