Description
The hand-crafted Calla Sideboard 2 Door is a classic and timeless centre-piece. This sideboard is planed by hand and given an antique appearance using fake sparse, deep wormholes, to provide an intentionally distressed effect. The filing and cuts are all strictly made by hand following the vein of the wood underneath, thus providing an entirely unique finish.
The intricate 2 door sideboard showcases detailing and inlays in oak and maple. The sideboard is considered an open-pore finish, and as such does it does not completely insulate the wood underneath, which remains sensitive to humidity in the air and to contact with liquids.
The colour of this type of finish is subject to change since wood is sensitive to light and therefore the colour matures over time producing distinctive characteristics.
