DITA by Pagnon & Pelhaître
CONCEPTION: although it might be evocative of certain metal modular systems from the office world, Dita clearly distances itself from these in a number of ways: its lacquered panels are in wood rather than sheet metal; its discreet profiled uprights with their sophisticated finish are perfectly placed, cast and not part of the structure; a matching handle which is light and beautifully designed; and its small, slim feet which continue the line of the structure in a very natural way.
QUALITY OF MANUFACTURE & FINISHES: uprights are in 0œ”x 0œ” /15 x 15 mm anodized aluminum section in a brushed bronze finish. These frame the wooden panels which are finished in argile lacquer on the interior faces and in a choice of 16 colors for all visible exterior faces:
– satin white, argile and perle (standard),
– rouge, bleu, bleu lavande, chocolat, mastic, noir, azur, brique, éléphant, moutarde, ranger, plomb and bleu nuit (to order).
All items are single-sided but are finished on the back (back panels and edges in argile lacquer). Certain items may be given an optional double-sided treatment, with the addition of a rear finishing panel.
Handles are in injected zamak, lacquered bronze to coordinate with the uprights.
Hinges are black. The feet H 1”/30 mm continue the line of the uprights and incorporate a black jack.
The new shelving unit, at H 74Œ”/189 cm the same height as the storage column, has shelves in a choice of 18 finishes: gray smoked glass, walnut veneer, satin white/argile/perle lacquer, plus the 13 ‘to-order’ lacquer colors (rouge, bleu, bleu lavande, chocolat, mastic, noir, azur, brique, éléphant, moutarde, ranger, and plomb.
