The curved, three-legged lounge chair is part of Sika Design’s exclusive collection, which represents design furniture from some of the world’s most renowned designers.
Nanna Ditzel is one of Denmark’s most innovative designers. Her experimental approach to materials and study of the human form resulted in the three-legged Rana Chair. This iconic piece initiated the rediscovery of rattan, and with international awards won, wicker furniture regained its status in interior design.
The Rana Exterior Lounge Chair is hand-woven in Alu-Rattan and woven by hand with ArtFibre. Alu-Rattan is weather-resistant powder coated aluminium, and ArtFibre is Sika Design’s own specially developed artificial fibres made of maintenance-free polyethylene. This makes the seat resistant to both frosty weather, heavy rain, and UV-radiation. The chair is easy to clean.
Due to the strong materials, the Rana chair is both suitable for private homes as well as for hospitality projects where the iconic chair fits perfectly in in the garden, on the patio and by the pool.
