Description

Ura is a reissue of the OM mirror, which Pierre Charpin designed for galerie Kréo in 1997. An elegant mirror, finished in rouge-noir (small version) or laiton (large version) lacquer, which confers both elegant and quite singular originality. There is first and foremost a kind of clarity which is imposed when looking at the objects and products designed by Pierre Charpin. Concise and elementary in terms of shape, his plastic language strikes one with his concern for ‘rightness’, his rigour in terms of form and his complete absence of artifice, make-up or seductive strategy. And yet we are far from demonstrative rationalism or dogmatic austerity. On the contrary, the unabashed use of colour, the unexpectedness of certain shapes and proportions, the freedom of their assembly all create, like a recurrent play between fullness and emptiness, a changing landscape which is pleasant, more welcoming than intimidating.

Small version Ø 55 in rouge noir lacquer, with mirrored glass and brushed stainless steel hook. Large version Ø 75 in jaune d’or lacquer with mirrored glass and brushed stainless steel hook.
