Carefully curated with an inviting ambience the Lothian Apartments, North Melbourne, are a textural delight. The winner of multiple awards, step inside the moody, contemporary urban apartments by Kennedy Nolan.

Tucked in residential North Melbourne, the apartments sit attractively among the handsomely scaled warehouses and buildings from Melbourne’s manufacturing golden age.

Kennedy Nolan has designed these memorable, yet timeless, apartments to reflect the current urban culture. Yet the design offers an authentic nod to the suburb’s gritty manufacturing era via the building’s red brick facade.

The townhouse offers four compelling levels for living. Upon entering the home, the living area is at once generous and moody displaying intricate metalwork and smooth concrete walls. A balcony frames the view of the dense urban environment yet offers a sense of serenity and privacy.

A green velvet ‘Togo’ large settee by Ligne Roset adds comfort and softness to the industrial concrete walls and tiled floor. The leather wrapped and marble topped ‘Leather’ side table by Wittmann offers a sleek spot to rest your coffee. While central to the living room sits a round white oak Oasis coffee table by HC28, the timber juxtaposing against the delightfully angular interior joinery.

The stylist added natural rattan seating to both the balcony and upstairs mezzanine. While a comfort inducing DS-266 ‘Yoga’ leather recliner chair features as an easy-chair in the upstairs reading nook.

The Lothian Apartments, North Melbourne, are a fine example of Kennedy Nolan’s residential architecture scaled for inner city living. The materials, fittings and finishes add a sense of style and ensure domestic life is enjoyable, beautiful and liveable.
