LEATHER UPHOLSTERED FURNITURE
Domestic Warranty
All frames, foams and inserts are guaranteed for two (2) years against faulty workmanship or materials. Any items found to be defective will be repaired or replaced free of charge during the warranty period, providing the design is still within the current product range. Should the design no longer be available, a suitable equivalent replacement item will be supplied to the same value as the original purchase price for that particular item.

Warranty claims will not be accepted for general wear and tear or misuse of the furniture – such as excessive loads, damage sustained during moving or relocating, standing on seats, burns caused by cigarettes, soiling of fabrics. Alterations or changes to a product will also void the warranty.

Commercial Warranty
All frames, foams and inserts are guaranteed for two (2) years against faulty workmanship or materials. All other conditions are as per the Domestic Warranty.

Important Note:
Due to wear and tear, fabrics and leathers are not covered by this warranty. Any claims will be assessed on an individual basis and where a fabric or leather is found to be defective DOMO will re-upholster, repair or replace (to the same value) the item according to its obligations under the Trade Practices Act.

OUTDOOR FURNITURE
Domestic Use Warranty
Outdoor Furniture consisting of woven fibre and frames, teak and metal frames are guaranteed for two (2) years against faulty workmanship or materials. Any items found to be defective will be repaired or replaced free of charge during the warranty period, providing the design is still within the current product range. Should the design no longer be available, a suitable equivalent replacement item will be supplied to the same value as the original purchase price for that particular item.

Warranty claims will not be accepted for general wear and tear or misuse of the furniture – such as excessive loads, strands being cut by sharp objects, standing on seats, burns caused by cigarettes, glass objects which magnify the sun’s rays and hot metal objects. Alterations or changes to a product will also void the warranty.

Commercial Use Warranty

All Sika rattan and teak furniture is guaranteed for two (2) years against faulty workmanship or materials. All other conditions are as per the Domestic Warranty.

Care Requirements for Rattan and Teak Furniture

As the rattan and/or teak used to construct this furniture was derived from living trees it continues to react to climate changes and remains porous. Because of this, care should be taken when positioning furniture in your home.

Heating and Cooling outlets and appliances rapidly alter the humidity and temperature of a room. Furniture situated near ducts or heating panels can expand or contract. Problems can then arise from the movements of joins, the de-lamination of table surfaces as well as the breakdown of glues and finishes. Avoid positioning your furniture near ducts and heating panels.

Direct sunlight can do enormous permanent damage to your rattan furniture. Sunlight causes rapid changes in temperature causing the timber and rattan to lose moisture; it can bleach the rattan of its colour and breakdown the lacquer. Avoid positioning your furniture in direct sunlight.

Rattan furniture and accessories are fashioned from the steam-bent poles of the rattan palm, a spiny sub-tropical climbing palm that grows like a vine. The outer skin of the rattan palm is peeled for use as binder cane, whereas slab shave rattan is for weaving panels and caning chair seats. The inner core is cut for use in wickerwork and basketry. It is known as reed and available in several widths, diameters and shapes including round, oval, flat-oval and flat.

Important Note:

Glass table tops are not covered by this warranty. Alterations or changes to a product will also void the warranty.

OXIDISED STEEL FURNITURE
Due to the unique nature of the oxidised steel finish and the intensive process with which it is made, these products cannot be covered by any warranty. Should a claim arise, this will be assessed on an individual basis.

If the transparent varnish which protects the oxidised steel is found to be defective, DOMO will repair or replace (to the same value) the item according to its obligations under the Trade Practices Act. This does not include damage that has been caused by a scratch or blow, hot or cold items being placed directly on it, the use of any abrasive products or detergents especially when the item is in close proximity to salt air.
