Description
With its generous shape and soft comfort, the Kashima Settee for Ligne Roset is a reissue of the emblematic 1976 modular sofa by Michel Ducaroy.
Michel Ducaroy is the visionary and innovator behind the iconic Togo Fireside Chair and Footstool. And so, he designed Kashima as a dreamy reimagining of the traditional English Chesterfield.
With fully quilted cover, ‘pinched’ corner seams and nest-shaped seat, the Kashima Settee provides softness, comfort and playfulness. Its rounded, curved lines support one’s whole body.
The all-foam Kashima Settee features high-density foam, providing resilient ergonomic support. Designed with four densities of premium-quality foam, this footstool maintains its shape and durability even with intensive daily use.
The structure is made entirely of two different densities: polyether 21kg/m3 – 3.2kPa and polyether 28kg/m3 – 4.8kPa. The seat and backrest are made identically of high resilience polyurethane Bultex foam (36 kg/m3 – 3.6 kPa) and (26 kg/m3 – 1.4 kPa). Plus, clad in hyper soft foam 45kg/m3 – 1.8kPa.
The height of Kashima Footstool is 380mm. The design is constructed by hand in France.
