Description
The Renoir Swing Chair is an elegant and exclusive rattan hammock chair created by Sika Design. It was designed in the 1940s and is one of the Danish company’s oldest furniture pieces.
The Renoir Swing Chair is handmade in sustainable Indonesian rattan by skilled wicker makers. Sika Design uses carefully selected rattan for furniture production to ensure the highest quality.
Rattan is often compared to bamboo, but unlike bamboo which is hollow, rattan is a solid material. Rattan is a remarkably strong and indestructible material, and therefore you get a unique piece of design furniture that can last for generations.
The hammock chair hangs from a strong rope and must be mounted in the ceiling. No hook included as it depends on ceiling type. From the hanging point of the rope to the top of the chair there is 110cm. From the hanging point of the rope to the attachment points on the chair, the measurement is 121cm.
This rattan hanging chair forms part of the Sika Design Originals collection, which celebrates key wicker furniture pieces created from original 1950’s and 1960’s design sketches.
