Pumpkin Armchair (Red Dot Award)
A unique first edition from the private collection of former French president Georges Pompidou in the Elysée Palace. As suggested by its name, soft, organic, round shapes and firm seating comfort all characterize the Pumpkin collection. Available as an armchair with or without headrest, loveseat or sofa. An ottoman completes the collection. Resisting its appeal is impossible!

Base and mid-section in polyether foam 28 kg/m3 – 4.8 kPa, resting on a thermoformed ABS base.
Seat and bucket-style enveloping back in molded polyurethane foam 35 kg/m³ – 3.2 kPa with a ‘comfort’ layer in the same foam.
Covers may be removed by a professional. Cover quilted with 100 g/m2 polyester on the seat/back, and polyether foam on the exterior of the mid-section.
A monocolor model, which may be made up in either fabric or hide. Colored wools compliments perfectly with the spirit of Pumpkin.Additional Information
The Red Dot Design Award is an international product design and communication design prize awarded by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany. There are prize categories for product design, design agencies, and design concepts. Since 1955, designers and producers can apply for the prizes with the winners being presented in an annual ceremony. Winning products are presented in the Red Dot Design Museumon the premises of the historical Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex in Essen. In 2013, the Red Dot Design Museum Taipei was opened. The Red Dot Design Award had more than 15,500 submissions from 70 countries in 2014.
