The Eaglemont Timber House, crafted by Sky Architect Studio, blends functionality with the aesthetic beauty of timber. Located in the established Melbourne suburb of Eaglemont, the all-timber home features a sustainable modern interior design.
The home’s pitched ceilings give a sense of grandeur. Whilst its seamless transition between the indoors and outdoors showcases versatile living at its best. The expansive glass walls and sliding doors connect with the interior living areas, outdoor zones and gardens.
Timber House has an Expansive Deck
Visible from the open plan living kitchen are three outdoor zones on the deck – a bar area, dining and lounging zone. Styled by Arch Melbourne, a teak Point Paralel dining table with chairs by designer Gabriel Teixido were selected for the dining zone. While a KUN Design Pillow sofa, armchair and sun lounger setting with teak accents bring continuity to the space.
Plus, Double Volume Open Plan Living
Stepping inside, the home’s open-concept design showcases a double volume living, dining and kitchen area. This expansive space is incredibly family friendly, with multiple break away zones.
The kitchen’s dark wood cabinetry and Gaggenau appliances contrast against the large white marble island bench. Added are black Tre Mezzo Counter Stools by Australian brand Biasol for their sleek contemporary look.
The furnishings in the living areas include a selection of design icons. For instance, an original tan leather Togo Fireside Chair by Michel Duaroy for Ligne Roset, a Red Dot Award winning Origami Sofa by HC28 and a pair of DS-707 Canada Armchairs in olive green add amples of character.
In the bedroom, we find a play on pattern with the stunning coverlet by L&M Home mirroring the superb timber clad ceilings in the primary bedroom. Also, a pair of HC28 Anni bedside tables add storage for books and trinkets beside the bed.
