Bayside House by Cera Stibley and Mcckluskey Studio is a heritage home with stunning layout and interiors. The pared back elegance, architectural details and elegant styling of the living room made it an @houseandgarden Top 50 Room Awards Winner.

2. Edwardian Home Reno with Curves

Carpenter’s Square House is an Edwardian House with an L-shaped addition – similar to a builder’s tool. The statement curves of the home with linear contrasts tie this ‘classic contemporary’ look together. Tour the home by Architects Eat here.

3. Victorian Era Home + Earthy Colours

Fawkner House, Melbourne, has a rich earthy colour palette. The arched doorways and original fireplaces are empathised nicely by the interiors by Aki Design. Geometric shapes and natural tones are throughout this palatial home. Tour the full house here.

4. Natural Aesthetic Home

Newton Courtyard House, Geelong, is a stunning natural aesthetic home. And, it surprises with pops of colour and texture at surprising moments. With interior by Simone Haag and interiors by Tecture, nirvana truly exists in this mod style home.

5. Colourful Joyful Interiors

Do you like colourful interiors? Then this Brighton Home by Charlotte Patella is bright, colourful and will fill your heart with joy. In every corner of the home, you spot 80’s furniture, fluffy chairs, bright artwork and metallic figurines.

We love the electric blue Plumy sofa by Ligne Roset. In fact, the Plumy sofa is inspired by the couch potato generation. What does that mean? Well, it’s the place to chill out in the sun. 6. Monochromatic Tone Home

Winner of the 2021 Victorian HIA CSR Housing Awards, Chisel House Clifton Hill flaunts monochromatic tones. With high ceilings and angular roof lines, the home is lovely and bright. Filled with sun! 7. Light Bright Luxury Apartments

Sitting by the sea, the Alamer luxury apartments are light, bright and cosy to be in. The light timber cabinetry and light stone textures are so liveable. The tile wrapped fireplaces look chic. While the outdoor zones – whether on the ground or asa balcony are large and liveable too.

8. Box-like Modern Home

Chenier House by Eastop Architects is a careful box-like home – but with deep soul. Its black timber and concrete facade welcomes you in. And once inside, it is a feast of textures and muted tones. Love!

Contrasting the sharp lines of the living room, a curvy never-ending-sofa has been installed. Also called the snake sofa, this de Sede DS-600 Non-Stop-Sofa crawls through the living room.  Take the full house tour here.

9. Large Family Home

Collonade House is a large family house by architects Splinter Society. It’s modern, minimalist with private spaces. It’s also a family home with a chic muted colour palette of industrial shades. And it looks good!

With unexpected details at every turn, the architecture and furniture makes a statement that; large family homes don’t need to be boring! The brown leather de Sede DS-244 Canada reclining chair adds a sense of fun, along with the skeleton art beside it. Tour Colonnade House here.

10. Small Inner City Home

Argo home by Architect Christopher Megowan is clever. The smart design has a considered approach to space for a small 214sqm family home. The herringbone timber floors and light-embracing windows make the home very liveable. And with four outdoor zones, you can keep in touch with nature despite being in inner Melbourne.
