Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel were rattan furniture pioneers of their time. They broke new ground when they made experimental shapes with the sturdy materials of rattan and wicker.
In fact, this style of suspended chair forms part of the Sika Designs Danish Icons Collection. This collection was re-released with iconic pieces of furniture from some of Europe’s most skilled and important architects and designers.
The Exterior Hanging Egg Chair is handmade in Indonesia by skilled weavers. Crafted with Alu-Rattan and ArtFibre the swinging chair has unique strength and durability. Alu-Rattan is weather-resistant powder-coated aluminium. While ArtFibre is realistic-looking artificial rattan made from polyethylene.
Due to the weather-resistant materials this hammock chair be left outdoors all year round, without compromising the design or quality. The suspension chain, stand and cushions sold separately. Stands are for interior use only.
