The Monet Footstool is handmade in sustainable Indonesian rattan by skilled wicker makers. Sika Design uses carefully selected rattan for furniture production to ensure the highest quality. Rattan is often compared to bamboo, but unlike bamboo which is hollow, rattan is a solid material.

Rattan is a remarkably strong and indestructible material, and you therefore get a unique piece of furniture that can last for generations.

This footstool forms part of the Sika Design Originals collection, which celebrates key wicker furniture pieces created from original 1950’s and 1960’s design sketches. It perfectly complements the Monet Lounge Chair, yet the lightweight design lends it as a handy transitional footstool around the home.
